Fall Mowing

Today is a cool fall day. So we decided it is a good day to aerate the Driving Range. The process takes about 5 hours, not too many members looking to hit balls on a day like today.

As we enter mid October we look at changing the height we cut the grass. On all areas mowed under 1" height we will be raising them up, this includes tees collars fairways and greens. The height is raised to give the crown of the plant extra protection going into our harse unknown winters. Basically we do anything we can to give our Turfgrass a chance to survive this winter.  If Mother Nature cooperates we will have a chance.

Weekend looks to be great. Hope to see you on the course!!!
