Irrigation pump

During the past winter we had our 75 hp irrigation pump rebuilt. New bearings, seals and a total cleaning / inspection of all the other internal parts. 

Here is a photo of the pump ready to be bolted in place, it is the blue colored one.

 

Is spring here?

It only takes a few days of nice weather and it feels like spring. Took a little tour of the course this morning. From what I can see the turf looks to be in good shape for the upcoming golf season.  The picture below is of 17 green. When the golf season will start is still unknown. I hope to see you on the course soon!!

Stump cutting and grinding

With most of the trees cut down and hauled in we are now in a phase cutting and grinding the stumps. 

As you can see in the picture below it leaves a nice mess to be cleaned up next spring.  This picture was taken by the driving range. 

We will continue working on the the stumps well into next week. 

The weather has been great the last few days. Spring is near and I am ready for some golfing type weather!!!

It won't be long now we will see you on the course soon. 

Removing trees

It is predicted to be a decent day today. So we are out removing  some more dead trees. 

We are currently working on some hybrid cottonwoods south and east of the practice area.  We will continue working on the trees as the weather permits.

Course Update

Here we are the middle of January.  It has been a cold winter to say the least.  The turf grass is looking great right now.  The nice blanket of snow has protected the grass plants from our extreme weather conditions.  What will Mother Nature deliver us from here on out is the question?  Most of us are ready for the cold weather to move on, that would include myself.

I have attached a photo of our new flags.  We went with a boarder around the entire flag to give a bolder look.  I hope you enjoy them.
