Course Update

Here we are the middle of January.  It has been a cold winter to say the least.  The turf grass is looking great right now.  The nice blanket of snow has protected the grass plants from our extreme weather conditions.  What will Mother Nature deliver us from here on out is the question?  Most of us are ready for the cold weather to move on, that would include myself.

I have attached a photo of our new flags.  We went with a boarder around the entire flag to give a bolder look.  I hope you enjoy them.

Balloon

It's -20 out and they are launching a hot air balloon from the parking lot. Destination towards Omaha!!

Trimming Branches

Here we are out trimming a few of the higher up branches. This picture was taken just east of #17 tee.

Grinding Stumps

The weather has warmed somewhat. This has allowed the maintenance staff to work on grinding some tree stumps. Here is Donny with the stump grinder, that is mounted on our Bobcat.  We will continue to grind this week as weather permits. 

Trees

Monday was a nice day to continue cleaning up some trees. Here is the crew working between 9 and the driving range.  Most of the populars there have reached their life expectancy and now time to be removed.
