Not sure when our last rain was but this morning the minimal precipitation was a nice surprise. It looks like under .1 of a inch, we will take whatever we can get!
The course has handled the extreme hot weather well, no major issues other than just extremely dry. I am hoping next week will get back to more normal like conditions.
Fall is coming, come out and enjoy your golf course.
Today we are venting the greens with a solid needle tine. After venting we will top dress lightly with sand and then roll the greens in two different directions. When done this will have very little impact on Golf Course playability.
Today we did a light top dressing on the greens. We also hand spread extra sand in the thin areas on the greens, the areas where the fungus hit the hardest. The final step is rolling the sand into the turf grass canopy, this will provide a nice smooth putting surface.
In general the greens are getting better each day. We are still on the weekly feeding program trying to get optimal nutrition for the grass plant.
Here is Matt and Dustin. They are digging up an irrigation leak in the low area on 7 fairway. Most of our irrigation line are about 2' deep, this one was about 3'. Turned out to be an o-ring leaking in a coupler. Looks like we have it fixed for now.
