Today is the Aspire Big Cup Tournament.  8" cup should provide a good chance to make some putts!!!

Pro Am

Thank you to all involved who make the Pro Am a huge success. Especially would like to thank my staff for putting in the extra effort to have to course in great shape.

The final day

The final day of the Pro Am is here. Course setup for the amateur's is complete. One more setup for the Pro's. greens rolling 10' 6" this morning. 

Saturday night Derby.

Here is 10 green for the derby last night. If you have never been to one you should check it out sometime.  Great time had by all!!

Another great day for golf.  Greens speed       still at 10'8". Wait and see if they dry out this afternoon. Good luck players. 

Course is Ready

The final pin is set. The course is ready for the first day of the ProAm. Greens this morning were rolling about 10' 8". 

It's a beautiful day for golf tournament!!

The Crew for the ProAm

Here is the crew and Ottis ready for work this morning. Looks like a hot day, but cooling off for the weekend.

Bunkers

The bunker boys out fine tuning the bunkers today. 

Please remember to do your part and rake the bunker after hitting your shot. 

Mowing and rolling

Mowing and rolling greens this morning. Typically we mow daily, but will only roll two to three times each week. During the ProAm we will roll daily. 

ProAm Week

The Pro Am week is here. This is a picture of verti cutting the greens. This will stand the grass up, giving us a better cut and true ball roll.  

Wind and Rain

The wind and rain hit pretty good last night.  Total of 2.25" of rain fell, and also has some gusty wind. Today we will pick up sticks, pump some water and repair washed out bunkers. 

First picture is pumping of the water on #15 fairway. 

Second picture is one of the washed out bunker faces. 

The crew is out and will have most of the repairs accomplished by noon.

Another great cool morning. Nothing better than a nice cool morning in July, last I checked it was 57. 

Prep For The Wachs

Here is some if the crew preparing for the  NSU Wachs Tournament. Tees & collars, greens, fairways, rough and cups changed. Just few of the many items accomplished getting ready for the 200+ golfer's today.

Check out the sunrise over #2 green this morning.

Mowing by bunkers

We experimenting with the intermediate cut on the fairway bunkers. The previous cut was at 2.5" and the new cut is at 1.25". This should give a little cleaner look by the fairway bunkers.
